A large mainland Cape May County township that surrounds the inland side of Stone Harbor, Avalon, the Wildwoods, and North Wildwood. Middle Township includes communities like Cape May Court House, Rio Grande, Whitesboro, and Mayville, with marshes, wetlands, and Route 9 corridor neighborhoods making up much of its geography. It functions as the mainland support and population center for much of southern Cape May County.
