A historic seaside community founded as a Methodist camp meeting town in the late 19th century. Ocean Grove is known for its Victorian architecture, quiet residential streets, tent community, and the Great Auditorium near the center of town. The boardwalk is intentionally restrained, with little commercial development, giving the town a noticeably quieter atmosphere than neighboring Asbury Park.
