The Monmouth Coast

25 towns · Sandy Hook to Manasquan. Train towns, boardwalks, the Irish Riviera.

From Sandy Hook's seven miles of federal beach to the Manasquan Inlet, this is the train-accessible Shore: the North Jersey Coast Line stops a few blocks from the sand in most of these towns. Asbury Park has the Stone Pony and the best boardwalk music scene in the state. Spring Lake, Sea Girt, Belmar, and Manasquan make up the Irish Riviera; Spring Lake once counted the highest share of Irish ancestry of any town in the country.
