To visit the past, check out the New Jersey Maritime Museum, where you can learn about shipwrecks and lighthouses, and the LBI Historical Association Museum, which showcases the founding days of LBI as a fishing town. And a new exhibit details life from the 1950s - 1980s.

For maritime activities, you can charter a boat for deep sea fishing. Or take it easier and go kayaking and paddleboarding.

Beach Haven is a food lover's paradise, boasting many options in a range of cuisines. Among Rosania's favorites: Pearl Street Market for coffee or having a quick lunch and Barry's Do Me A Flavor for ice cream.

For beer lovers, there's the Triton Craft Beer & Oyster Bar, part of the Marlin Restaurant. There's also the flagship location of Ship Bottom Brewery.

Nightlife and Entertainment

How does Broadway at The Beach sound? If enticing, you should check out Beach Haven institution The Surflight Theatre, where you can watch musicals, children's theatre, concerts, and comedy.

There are plenty of housing options in 30-block town, from quaint B&Bs to Victorian Houses you can rent. There are also some nice hotels. The Engleside Inn and Seashell Resorts are two great places to stay and, according to Rosania, great places to eat as well.
