A Downbeach town known for Lucy the Elephant, residential beach blocks, restaurants, and a strong summer-home culture. Margate has no boardwalk, which gives it a different feel from Atlantic City and Ventnor. Its commercial life is concentrated along the main avenues, while the beach and residential streets carry most of the town's seasonal identity.
